Scope and Contents
Includes estate papers of Charles Harvey, Blasingame Harvey, Sr., Daniel McNeil, and Charles Coates, of Georgia dated 1800-1801, and later records dated to 1814. An inventory and appraisal of Charles Harvey's estate lists six enslaved women and girls and one enslaved boy, valued from $150 to $400: Phillis, Rose, Hannah, Jude, Aggy, Lucy, and Jacob. An inventory of the McNeil estate listed three enslaved girls, Violet, Cate, and Rose, as well as spinning wheels, plantation tools, and guns. There are also estate inventories of Nicholas Gardner, Molly Wilmouth, and Daniel Ware of Massachusetts.
