Consists of disbound notebooks recording Philip Leder's genetic research from December 1963 to August 1965. During the year 1964, Leder worked with Marshall Nirenberg on the Nirenberg and Leder experiment, which involved filtering mRNA samples through a device developed by Leder to elucide the triplet-nucleotide sequences that code amino acids.
