The first phase of a government center complex in Tange’s hometown, comprised of a three story government building (20 meter x 76 meter footprint), an auditorium (27 meter x 53 meter footprint), and a civic plaza. Both buildings are folded plate structures in reinforced concrete, which provide a façade system characterized by its depth and resulting strong shadows. Built.
