Scope and content
The photographs in this subseries include images of the 1914 and 1915 Harvard College Fox Club, of which Hooper was a member; and a portrait photograph of Hooper probably after graduating from Harvard in 1915. World War I photographs from 1918 to 1919 include an image of an unidentified field artillery unit, officers of the 351st Field Artillery Regiment, and photographs of Hooper in uniform. Of particular interest are two panoramic photographs entitled “Back from France” of Battery B of the 351st Field Artillery Regiment (92nd Division), a unit composed entirely of African-American troops (1919).
