Scope and Contents
This folder contains a letter from Elizabeth Lyman Cabot requesting that President Abbot Lawrence Lowell of Harvard University use his influence to ensure that the Harvard men in the Harvad Unit of the Students' Army Training Corps are issued with woolen clothing to protect their health during the 1918 influenza epidemic, and President Lowell's response. Also included is a memo, no. 49, dated Nov. 20, 1918, indicating to steps to be taken by S.A.T.C. units in response to the influenza epidemic, which includes issuing the men winter uniforms.
