Folder 40 contains a receipt related to tenants on Shapleigh's Kittery property. The receipt reads: "Kittery December 31, 1792 - Recd of Samuel Shapleigh the sum of eleven pounds seven shillings & eleven pense being the amount of two notes of hand signed by Tobias Hanscom to Samuel Shapleigh in full of all demands. [Signed] Jeremiah Goodwin."
