Scope and Contents
Set of four handwritten letters written in French regarding the 1795 donation of minerals to the Harvard University museum from the French Republic. The folder contains a letter of donation from France's Consulat de Boston Exercice Mozard from 1795; a copy of a letter from France's Commission of weapons, powder, and mining operations to the Agency of Mines; a letter from the Agency of Mines to Harvard regarding a donation of minerals; and a second letter from Consular Mozard dated May 26, 1796.
The Corporation acknowledged the gift at its October 1, 1795 meeting.
