Biographical / Historical

Joseph Hastings (1669-1724/5) was a weaver blinded by a bullet in a 1690 battle with Indians. In 1716 he moved to Weston, Mass. with his wife Elizabeth.

Joseph's brother Daniel Hastings (1676/7-1733) was a Cambridge blacksmith who moved to Marlborough, Mass in 1722. He married Abigail Cooksey in 1701.

In June 1723, John Hastings' estate was divided between his children, Joseph, Daniel, John and Elizabeth.
