The folder contains four documents: a letter from John Leverett, Cambridge, to John White, April 16, 1718, ordering payment from Sprague legacy; a letter from John Leverett, Cambridge, to John White, May 2, 1718, ordering payment from Sprague legacy; a letter from John Leverett, Cambridge, to John White, May 16, 1718, ordering payment from Sprague legacy; and record of a vote of the inhabitants of Cambridge to build a new upper gallery in the meeting house, August 7, 1718, record received from Andrew Bordman, town clerk, May 24, 1720.

A Captain Richard Sprague of Charlestown left the College thirty ewes with their lambs, valued at £30, when he died in 1668. In 1702, a Captain Richard Sprague of Charlestown left the College £400. It is unclear to which legacy the orders refer, although it may be presumed to be the latter.
