Calvin Galpine received his Harvard AB in 1715.
Robert Boyle (1627-1691) was an Irish chemist, inventor, philosopher, and the author of many foundational scientific works. He was a director of the East India Company and served as the first Governor of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in New England from 1661 until 1689. The estate of Boyle created annual funds to support missionary work among the Indians of North America, with payments from the Society for Propagating the Gospel in New England beginning in 1710.
