Subject: Depicts group of men at center forming a scouting party. In foreground two men in advance at each far side carry rifles "ready cocked" and group in center dressed in "round slouched hats, rough flannel blouses, with revolvers and bowie knives in belts." Vizetelly and commanding Lieutenant are in the center, with woods in back.
