Scope and Contents

Handwritten letter and typescript copy of letter from Lady "Judy" [Catherine Patricia Love?] Rowan to Mildred Bliss telling her she has not forgotten about Mildred's garden for the blind. Lady Rowan wrote on behalf of Mildred Bliss to the Parks and Allotments Department, The Castle, York; Burnham-on-Sea Urban District Council, Somerset; Borough of Hastings, Parks and Gardens Department, Hastings; and the National Institute for the Blind, 224-6-8 Great Portland Street, London, W.1. Included with this correspondence are typescript responses from her inquiries. Three of the four responses include lists of plants and a description of their garden. Copies of these letters are also in the collection.
