Scope and Contents

Handwritten letter from Marguerite Tweedy Biggs (Mrs. James D. Biggs) to Mildred Bliss extends her very sincere thanks from Mrs. [Grace] Tweedy, Mrs. Clinton Biggs, [Francis Witmer Biggs] and herself for allowing them to see Mildred's beautiful gardens [Dumbarton Oaks]. "It was a sight that will live long in her memory, one vista after another of beauty, perfectly planned." Their guide who she assumes was the superintendant, was most courteous and interesting. She offers her grateful thanks to Mildred for this privilege.
