Scope and Contents
This subseries is organized into 14 Image Groups. These photographs document community events that occurred in and around Harvard Medical School involving members of the Harvard community as well as invited guests and speakers. Titles in italics are taken directly from the captions of the photographs as they appeared in Focus. When no previous title or caption existed, descriptive titles were created and are identified by square brackets. If neither title is provided for an image, the user should assume that the image listed is very similar or nearly identical to the image preceding it. Photographers are listed where known.

Within each image group, description is provided for the the event that the images document. Within the image groups, images are arranged according to subject content and then by image number. In some cases, one or more images have been chosen to represent the subject matter for the whole group. These images are displayed with a thumbnail image in the finding aid. Related images similar or identical to the linked image are listed with that image but not available for viewing online.
