3 photograph boxes (92 rolls) of color photographic prints, mostly 4x6, taken at the Arnold Arboretum 1998-2005 by Bernard Ross, a man from Dorchester who frequently walked his dog at the Arboretum. Also included in the donation are some indices to the photographs by roll number and subject, and one newspaper article featuring Ross's photographs in a Buddhist publication "Merit Times," dated October 4, 2003. The papers of Karl Sax were compiled primarily during his tenure as Director of the Arnold Arboretum from 1946 to 1954, though their contents reflect both his administrative work and his research in cytology, horticulture, and genetics.
