Barlow Company [Case #1-P], 1959 June 6 Digital
Scope and Contents
B & G 228. During a bitterly contested state congressional race, the Barlow Company executives find it necessary to re-examine the company's traditionally neutral political position. As the election draws closer, the executives consider their obligations to their employees, to the company, and to themselves. They discuss the wisdom of encouraging employees to exercise political rights regardless of party or urging employee support of a party historically favoring business interests and of allowing an executive the privilege of engaging in active campaign work on company time.
