Subseries IG. Objects, 1859-1920
Scope and Contents
This subseries contains objects given to George F. Baker, Sr. Included are sterling silver loving cups, medallions, and a cigar clipper made from tusk. The loving cups were given to Baker, Sr. by employees of the First National Bank of New York in recognition of his tenure with the bank and on his 80th birthday. There is a small black box with Baker's initials embossed on top, a cigar clipper made of tusk with Baker's initials engraved in the side, and a medallion commemorating Fisher Ames Baker's Dartmouth class of 1859. The George F. Baker Sr. memorial resolutions box contains memorial resolutions made by companies in which Baker had served in some capacity, usually as president, director or member of the board.
