Scope and Contents

Brimmer taught at Michigan State University from 1958-1961, Wharton from 1961-1963, and UMass-Amherst from 1997-2008. Included is correspondence, subject files, teaching records, teaching files, MSU class lectures which were recorded on 1/4" audio reels, and research conducted for classes. Brimmer taught economics, banking, monetary theory, capital markets, and finance. The class lectures, given at MSU during the 1961 Spring semester focus on portfolio management, money markets, commercial paper market, and banking acceptance rates and the foreign exchange. The class lectures have been digitized and are available to listen to in the reading room.
