Scope and Contents
Receipts, bills, and invoices for goods including brandy, rum, ribbon, German steel, cloth, and silk, dated December 1782-June 3, 1783.
This folder comprises the papers of Mary Reed, widow and executrix for the estate of Isaac Reed. Most of the materials comprise receipts showing payments of debts on Isaac Reed's estate. Two sheets show that Mary Reed was given power of attorney by Asoph Fletcher (of Cavendish, Vermont) and Thaddeus Smith (of Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire) in order to sue for payments on debts. Anything that she recovered she was authorized to keep.
