Series I. Reed & Gardner business records, 1777-1792
Scope and Contents
This series contains financial records, business-related correspondence, and papers dissolving the partnership of Reed & Gardner in 1784. There are some invoices and bills from Reed & Gardner for general store sales, as well as promissory notes and orders, and some personal accounts, but the bulk of the bills, accounts, and receipts were issued to Reed & Gardner for purchase of commodities to stock their store from other merchants including William Sherburne and John & Thomas Amory of Boston.
