Series II. Daguerreotype and cameo, 1846

Scope and Contents

The daguerreotype of William S. Wetmore is encased in an ornate wooden case with red velvet accents and gold inlay. The daguerreotype is undated, but there is a studio mark from J. Gurney, 348 Broadway in the bottom right corner. The cameo dates from 1846. It is a white cameo with a carved silhouette of William S. Wetmore.
