Scope and Contents

Contains estate records and guardianship papers for assorted minors, dated 1773-1825. Inlcuded are a copy of the will of Ipswich ship wright Francis Cogswell, and court documents and financial records related to John Heard's appointment as guardian of Cogswell's son Joseph, such as receipts for his college tuition; and estate papers of his brothers Charles and Nathan Heard; copies of the division of Colonel Samuel Rogers' estate; bonds and receipts from the estate of Royall Tyler of Boston; and an appointment as guardian to the children of Ipswich mariner William Wise, and indenture of Daniel Wise to apprentcie as a cordwainer with Nathan Heard.
