Biography

Cornelia Barnes Rogers (1871-1958) was the daughter of John Sanford Barnes and Susan Bainbridge Barnes born in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She was an elocutionist. She married Francis Stetson Rogers, an opera singer and teacher. She and her husband entertained the U.S. Army in the battlefield during World War I offering over 100 concerts. He was also a teacher. She is buried with her husband in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, New York.
