Doriot, Georges F. (Georges Frederic), 1899-1987

This collection consists of personal papers and annual reports for American Research and Development as well as other venture capital companies including Canadian Enterprise Development Corporation, European Enterprise Development Company and North Atlantic Capital Corporation.

The papers of Georges F. Doriot, a noted Harvard Business School professor and pioneering venture capitalist, 1921-1984. Includes records of Doriot's long tenure as professor of Manufacturing at Harvard Business School, 1925-1966, and his personal records as president of American Research and Development Corporation, one of the first venture capital firms, 1946-1984.

This collection consists of Georges F. Doriot's correspondence and research related to aviation, atomic energy, and radio isotopes, as well as a collection of aviation-related ephemera owned by Doriot.

Office files of the fifth dean of Harvard Business School, George Pierce Baker, who served from 1962 to 1969. Interfiled with the records created during Baker's deanship are personal teaching and research files from his career on the Harvard Business School faculty as well as his work with the government and various organizations.

The Dean's Office Correspondence Files contain letters exchanged between the Office of the Dean and correspondents during the deanship of Stanley F. Teele from 1955 to 1962. The Correspondence Files also include speeches delivered by Dean Teele.
