Series II, Wright family papers, primarily contains material created by Mary Tappan Wright and her children Austin Tappan Wright and John Kirtland Wright. These include journals, correspondence, and printed articles and stories.

John Henry Wright (1852-1908) was a Professor of Greek and Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University. Wright was best known for his promotion of graduate studies and research in classical antiquity.
