The collection has been organized into two series. Series I, Jerome Hopkins papers, includes the composer’s journals, as well as music manuscripts and printed sheet music for several of his compositions.
Series II, Wright family papers, primarily contains material created by Mary Tappan Wright and her children Austin Tappan Wright and John Kirtland Wright. These include journals, correspondence, and printed articles and stories.

This series contains the correspondence of John Henry Wright, Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS), from 1895 to 1903, chiefly documenting administrative matters, including the admission of students to the graduate program at Harvard. John Henry Wright (1852-1908) was a Professor of Greek and Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University. Wright was best known for his promotion of graduate studies and research in classical antiquity.
