The collection documents events, students, alumnae, and staff of Radcliffe College from 1972 to 1991. Many images were taken for stories in the Radcliffe Quarterly. Original folder titles were created by Kemp. Information added by the archivist is noted in brackets. Kemp's numbering system was retained, beginning with "Book 5, roll 2." This collection is not a complete representation of all photography taken by Kemp during this time period and this can be seen by the gaps in roll numbers. A few events from GSD [Graduate School of Design] and HGSE [Harvard Graduate School of Education] are included and are noted when these events are present in the collection.

Series I, NEGATIVES, 1972-1991 (#1.5/2-18.59/93), contains black and white negatives of events and people of Radcliffe College. See Series II to locate corresponding contact sheets, if applicable.

Series II, CONTACT SHEETS, 1972-1989 (#19.1-23.3), contains contact sheets of events and people of Radcliffe College. Most contact sheets have corresponding negatives in the collection.

Many images in this collection are duplicates of prints found in other collections of the Radcliffe College Archives. Many of these are digitized and available online.
