This collection consists of scrapbooks containing college memorabilia and student accounts, articles about athletics and athletes at Radcliffe, correspondence, etc.

BIOGRAPHY

Elizabeth Wright Plimpton, physical education teacher, was born on April 2, 1906 in Newton Centre to Henry Richardson and Edith (Hall) Plimpton. She attended Radcliffe, 1925-1929, and concentrated in Biology. After graduation she attended Wellesley College, Department of Hygiene and Physical Education and received her certificate in 1931. Plimpton taught Physical Education for 36 years at the Alice Deal Junior High School in Washington, D.C.

Plimpton received a fellowship in 1965 to attend a European Physical Education conference; and after retirement went to the Olympic Games and traveled in Europe and the United States.
