This collection contains the slideshow, "Images of Asian American Women, 1850-1980s," given by the Radcliffe Asian American Women's Group at the Radcliffe Centennial celebration in 1978. Included are slides about the cultural history of Asian American women and the Harvard-Radcliffe experience. Also included is an audio cassette which accompanies the slideshow, and a written transcript of the tape.

HISTORY

In 1978, the Radcliffe Asian Women's Group was formed to increase awareness of Asian issues at Harvard-Radcliffe. The group was later called Radcliffe Asian American Women's Group, and in 1993 became the Association of Radcliffe Asian Americans. The group was connected with Harvard-Radcliffe Asian American Association. Activities of the group included workshops on Asian American history, identity, and stereotypes, dramatic productions, discussion groups, and an annual journal, "Of Woven Strands."
