The collection has two major sections: Hartshorne's correspondence and printed matter. The first is mostly business correspondence, filed alphabetically by subject, sender, or addressee; clippings and pamphlets are occasionally included. The publications include bulletins, pamphlets, and fliers related to women's suffrage, state and local campaigns, and voter enrollment. The rest of the collection contains minutes, recipes, etc.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
This collection of Clementina R. Hartshorne's papers was given to Schlesinger Library by her daughter Emily H. Mudd in July 1990.
