Gill Company. Also included is a notebook Ewing titled "some books I have read" which contains lists of book titles and authors, often with the date when Ewing read the book.

Gill Company. The cover of the scrapbook is imprinted "The Girl Graduate's ScrapBook" and a sticker inside indicates it was sold at Gill's. Also included is a notebook Ewing titled "some books I have read" which contains lists of book titles and authors, often with the date when Ewing read the book.
BIOGRAPHY
Adah Margaret Ewing, daughter of James Roland Ewing, a bookseller, and Cora Lillian Elliott Ewing, was born November 13, 1882, in Portland, Oregon. She worked for the J.K. Gill Company from 1904 to 1945, beginning as a bookseller and retiring as a department manager and book buyer. She was a member of the American Book Sellers Association and served as the organization's vice president in 1927. She died October 1, 1971.
