Part I: Davis discusses her childhood, family, early experiences with racism, her experience at Elisabeth Irwin High School, early activism and travel abroad, and recognizing the groups of people who contributed to social movements. Part II: Davis discusses campaign to free political prisoners, the Soledad Brothers, Jonathan Jackson, her arrest and trail, the Free Angela Davis campaign, scholarship and activism around prisons, and Critical Resistance. Davis also answers audience questions.
