Some letters have been photocopied and redacted to prevent unwarranted invasion of individual privacy; these copies will be replaced with their corresponding originals fifty years after the year in which they were written. To use any letters that are open for research, researchers must sign a special permission form. An appointment is necessary to use any audiovisual material.
