Series IV, POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS, 1982, 1984, 1986, 1990 (#21.11-24.6m, Mem.1-Mem.3), contains brochures, bumper stickers, flyers, pamphlets, press releases, speeches, and other material related to Evelyn F. Murphy's campaigns for Lieutenant Governor and Governor of Massachusetts. Of particular interest is the comprehensive planning proposal for Murphy's first run for Lieutenant Governor which includes the proposed budget and calendar for the campaign. Also included are Murphy's reflections after losing the primary in 1982, and the press release explaining her decision not to run for the United States Senate in 1984. The series is arranged in chronological order.
