Scope and Contents

Soviet film discusses the origins of the Psycho-prophylactic method and its use in the Soviet Union and France, a demonstration of hypnosis to a class of medical students, hypnosis used during childbirth, recommendations (origins of the ASPO/Lamaze techniques) for pregnant women on how to have a relaxed delivery, and a general discussion about the power of suggestion. Many images of various aspects of Russian society, especially pregnant women. Narrated in English. Color. Sound. 16mm. 53 minutes.
