The first, awarded a fifth prize in the Williamsburg Competition, sponsored by the Architectural Record and the National Academy of the Theater for a School of Fine Arts and Theater at William & Mary College, Williamsburg, Virginia. Another, a final entry and third prize in the national open competition for the Smithsonian Gallery of Art, in Washington D.C.
