Contains records related to Charles J. Ogletree, Jr.’s career at Harvard Law School, including course teaching materials and administrative and events records. Administrative and events records include materials documenting the operations and functions of the Saturday School program, the Charles Hamilton Institute for Race & Justice, and the Criminal Justice Institute, all of which were founded by Ogletree. Additional administrative materials include HLS committee records, student fellowship records, and files related to special programming supported by Ogletree.

The majority of the collection is in English but it also includes a small amount of Chinese and Hebrew language materials.

Access to these papers is governed by the rules and regulations of the Harvard Law School Library. Physical access to the collection is restricted for preservation purposes. The collection is in the process of being minimally arranged, described, and digitized. Digital content will be released and open to the public on a rolling basis.
