Correspondence of AES is arranged alphabetically by subject. Correspondents include Harvard College and Harvard Law School colleagues, law teachers in other parts of the United States and abroad, practicing lawyers, editors of publishing houses, former students, etc. Period covered is 1947-1969. Of interest are the folders relating to AES's work as a consultant for the Department of the Army.
Correspondence includes letters from Kingman Brewster, Jr., Senators Joseph S. Clark, Sam Ervin, Jacob Javits, Kenneth Keating, Generals W.C. Westmoreland, Maxwell Taylor.
