Scope and Contents:
This subseries contains correspondence with Massachusetts senator and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Maine, Prentiss Mellen, who served as a land agent in Maine for Harvard from 1808 to 1827. Included are charts documenting the various lots belonging to Harvard, as well as charts listing the lands both sold and unsold by Mellen. The bulk of the records are letters from Mellen to Harvard Treasurer John Davis.
