These records were separated from the main body of Department of Sociology records, probably extracted by David McClelland from a subject files series. They were among his personal papers and were retrieved only when the Harvard University Archives acquired McClelland's personal papers. The records had apparently been in chronological order, but this order appears to have been disrupted by McClelland.
