Overview
Valerie Novales graduated with honors from Harvard University with a degree in History in 2004. The collection, named in her honor, contains issues of the Harvard Lampoon; 18 postcards with images of Harvard buildings and views; two John Harvard First Day of Issue stamps on envelopes; a photograph of the Classes of 1887 and 1888 Gates; and a Harvard University Summer School College Admission English examination, possibly dating from 1908.

The Valerie Novales collection of Harvard memorabilia consists of four issues of the Harvard Lampoon; 18 postcards with images of Harvard buildings and views, some with handwritten messages and stamps; two John Harvard First Day of Issue stamps on envelopes; a photograph of the Classes of 1887 and 1888 Gates; and a Harvard University Summer School College Admission English examination, possibly dating from circa 1908. The collection donor, Maria Novales, purchased the collection in the Harvard Square area in the early 2000s and requested that it be named in honor of her daughter, Valerie Novales, Harvard College AB 2004.
Biographical note on Valerie Novales
Valerie Novales graduated with honors from Harvard University with a degree in History in 2004, then received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School. She is currently a partner at Exusia, Inc. in Miami, Florida.
