Scope and Contents
Collection of syllabi, class notes, exam books, and reading notes from Peter W. Williams from his time as a Harvard undergraduate from 1961 to 1965. The material from Williams’ time as an undergraduate contains class notes written by Williams, annotations of class readings, essays, completed exam booklets, along with syllabi and reading guides written by his professors. Williams’ material covers 18 classes, which include: Latin Ra, Latin 1b, Spanish 10, Italian 120, Humanities 6, Humanities 115, History 130b, History 134b, History 169, English 125, English 130, English 151, English 152b, English 162, English 170b, Social Sciences 1, Fine Arts 13, and Natural Sciences 5. The materials from these classes range in scope, including the history of Renaissance and Reformation, Japanese Art, racial discrimination in the United States, Latin conjugations, and the properties of electrons. His graded essays include written feedback and suggestions from professors and teaching assistants.

Peter W. Williams is Professor Emeritus of Comparative Religion and American Studies at Miami University. He graduated from Harvard College in 1965 with a degree in History and Literature of the Renaissance and Reformation. Williams earned his Ph.D. from Yale in 1970, where he studied Religions Studies and the History of Christianity. From 1970 to 2010, he worked and lectured at Miami University on religious history. Williams has authored five books.
