Biographical / Historical
Alfred Claghorn Potter (1867-1940, Harvard AB 1889) succeeded William Coolidge Lane as Librarian of Harvard University in 1928. Until 1904 he was an assistant in the Library and from 1904 to 1928 he was Assistant Librarian in charge of the Accessions Department (acquisitions).
