Contains correspondence from Boyden Station superintendent Henry Smith to employees at the Harvard College Observatory, including Bart J. Bok, Sybil L. Chubb, Margaret Olmsted, Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin. Topics of discussion include the Station's administrative and scientific functions and considerations, including scientific instruments, particularly the Armagh-Dunsink- Harvard (ADH) Baker-Schmidt telescope, administrative issues, such as personnel decisions, salaries, budgets, weather conditions, and the transfer of photographic plates. Letters from February discuss visits from the Netherlands and Greek ambassadors and the South African prime minister.
