Contains correspondence from Timothy Flint, in Reading and Cohasset, Massachusetts, to Lemuel Shaw, dated 1800-1801, requesting that Shaw purchase a number of second hand books for a friend’s son who was entering Harvard College and inquiring about college news. He also tells Shaw about a fever afflicting him, his family, and servants, and later discusses a romantic interest.
