Text of flyer continues: "... of Chicago, Illinois, America's greatest platform orator, statesman, and philospher, will speak at New Prospect Beale Ave Baptist Church 379 Beale St. Memphis, Tenn., Monday night, Oct. 19th, 8 o'clock p. m. Subject: The State of the Country. The speaker will be introduced by Rev. J. W. Hall, B. D. D. D., Pastor, Avery Chapel A.M.E. Church. This will be the Colonel's first attempt to deliver an address from the above subject south of the Ohio River. All true Americans, both white and colored, are interested in this subject and are hereby extended a cordial invitation to come and hear this eloquent and profound orator unravel the proplex problems of the country especially the mystical, nutty, political and commericial problems that are baffling the wisdom of the age. Phonograph free! To the person reporting the greatest amount from the sale of tickets. Nolan S. Cox, Fin. Sec'y, Jos. T. Greene, Church Clerk, Benjamin J. Perkins, Pastor. Admission: adults 50c; children under 12 25c."
