Photographic reproduction by A.A. Martin of 1859 daguerreotype portrait of abolitionist John Brown attributed to Martin M. Lawrence. Inscribed on back: Actual photograph of John Brown at Harpers Ferry. Given by him to Joseph Barber of Wayne, Ashtabula County, Ohio. Found by E.G. Lamp[?]m, Jefferson, O. Presented to R.C. Simmons of Chicago on Aug. 8, 1933, at Jefferson, Ohio, by E.G. Lamp[?]m.
