Immediate Source of Acquisition

Received from Nathaniel L. Stickney and Sumner P. Shepherd, 27 June 1851. Stickney and Shepherd made the alterations in the summer of 1850.

Separated Materials

This fragile oversized bound volume contains sketches and floor plans of proposed alterations to Holden Chapel drawn by architect Gridley J.F. Bryant in 1850. Sketches include first and second story floor plans and front and side elevations of the existing Holden Chapel, and drawings of proposed renovations of the traverse and longitudinal sections and the first and second stories. Alterations included a laboratory and museum on the first story and a lecture room on the second story.
