Scope and Contents

Sir William Ashurst was treasurer and governor of the New England Company, which had established the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1630. This letter conveys Mather’s discontent with Governor Joseph Dudley. Published transcription in Publications of The Colonial Society of Massachusetts, volume 49, pages 228-229.
