Photographs, 1860s-1960s
Scope and Contents
The collection includes both photograph albums dealing with specific subjects or time periods and loose photographs. The earlier albums depict Puerto Rico and South America at the turn of the 20th century. The album of France and Belgium during World War I shows war damage, equipment and scenes from the Front. Loose photographs range from miniatures to oversize images and include family members, friends (many celebrities) and various events and places. Many of the photographs are signed. Also included are photographs and negatives of Mildred Bliss's friend, Emery Siposs, demonstrating exercises and a 16 mm black and white film depicting a waterfall.
Photographs are also found in other series.
