Biographical note of W. D. Peck

William Dandridge Peck (1763-1822) was born May 8, 1763 in Boston, Mass. He received an AB from Harvard in 1782 and an AM in 1785. He served as the first Massachusetts Professor of Natural History at Harvard from 1805 to 1822.
